MNRB Scholarship Empty MNRB Scholarship

MNRB Scholarship is a fund established by MNRB Holdings Berhad - a Company listed on the Main Board of the Bursa Malaysia and a subsidiary company of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) - for young Malaysians who have successfully completed their SPM/STPM and are planning to pursue a Matriculation/Foundation, Diploma, First Degree or Professional course on a full-time basis at any recognized local institution of higher learning.



Value

* Tuition fees based on actual for students pursuing studies at public universities or colleges.
* A maximum of RM8,000.00 per annum for students pursuing studies at private universities or colleges.
* Allowance of RM8,000.00 per year for local Matriculation or Diploma courses.
* Allowance of RM10,000.00 per year for First Degree or Professional courses.
* A bond is attached to the scholarship, where the recipient may be required to serve the MNRB Group or any of the Company designated by the Trustees of the MNRB Scholarship Fund.

Conditions

The applicant:

1. Should be below 23 years of age.
2. Should have obtained:
* At least grade 2A in a minimum of 6 subjects inclusive of English, Mathematics and Science in the SPM examination results. OR,
* Should obtained at least 3As and pass the General Paper at the Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) examination. OR,
* Should obtained a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.5 for Diploma or Matriculation.
3. Must have proof of financial needs.
4. Must write a short 1-page essay (in English and on a separate sheet of paper) describing reasons for applying the scholarship, benefit from the course of study including education and career plans.
5. Preference will be given to those active in co-curricular activities.
6. Must not be a recipient of a scholarship/loan/financial assistance from any other organisation.
7. Employees working in the local insurance industry or their children are encouraged to apply.
8. The offer is subject to the applicants gaining entry into the recognised local institute of higher learning to pursue the approved courses.
9. Fields of Study:
* Accountancy.
* Actuarial Science.
* Economics.
* Engineering.
* Human Resource Management.
* Insurance / Risk Management and Marketing
