Generous scholarships are available for international students from outside the EU wishing to study for a Master's in Lifelong Learning at three of Europe's best centres for research in Education - including the Institute of Education, University of London. The European Commission offers scholarships for 3rd country (non-EU) students and scholars.



Value

For non-EU students:

1.
For each student the scholarship amounts to 21,000 Euro per academic year.
2.
This includes 10 monthly grants of 1,600 Euro and a fixed amount of 5,000 Euro for fees, travel expenses, relocation costs, etc.
3.
For courses lasting two years, the student receives double this amount, i.e. 42,000 Euro.

For non-EU scholars:

1.
The amount of an average scholarship for scholars is 13,000 Euro.
2.
This includes three monthly grants of 4,000 Euro and a fixed amount of 1,000 Euro for travel and expenses.

Conditions

1.
A student who receives an Erasmus Mundus scholarship has to meet the conditions of the status of a so-called ”third-country graduate student”.
2.
The number of applications by third country students must be limited to three Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses maximum.
3.
In the eventual case that a student applies to more than three EM Courses he/she will be excluded from the selection for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.

Entry requirements
The entry requirements for students enrolling on the MA LLL are:

1.
Good first degree (humanities or social sciences) from a recognised institution of higher education.
2.
A satisfactory level of spoken and written English:

o
IELTS: 7.0
o
TOEFL: 650 (written paper test) or
o
280 (computer-based test) or
o
114-115 (internet-based test)

Application procedure and selection process
For a successful application the following documents must be included:

1.
Student application form (incl. photo).
2.
Certified copy of 1st degree.
3.
IELTS/TOEFL certificate.
4.
CV
5.
Letters of recommendation (references).
6.
Qualification essay.
7.
At least two letters from two different academic referees, individually enclosedin envelopes, sealed and signed across the back flap of the envelope by the recommender.
