Zahid 'Ali Scholarship, The Empty Zahid 'Ali Scholarship, The

The Zahid 'Ali Scholarship was established in 1997 by the Institute of Ismaili Studies in the name of Professor Zahid 'Ali (1888-1958), a pioneer of modern Ismaili Studies, at the bequest of Professor Zahid 'Ali's son, the late Professor Abid 'Ali, and his family. The Zahid Ali Scholarship is awarded once every five years to an internationally renowned scholar working in the field of Classical Arabic Literature who intends to use the award to carry-out research on a topic of relevance to Ismaili Studies.

Conditions

Application Process

1.
Applications for the Zahid Ali Scholarship can be sent by post or by electronic mail directly by applicants or by process of nomination.
2.
Applicants should submit a copy of their CV (including a list of publications), and a detailed proposal of research to be undertaken to the address below.
3.
Nominators are asked to send a letter of nomination including the contact details of their nominee, at least three months prior to the deadline date for receipt of applications to the address below.
4.
The Institute will contact nominated applicants to submit an application.
